There are lots of savory soups and dishes you can make with the harvest, but this time of year, it’s nice to sweeten up a bit. Here are a few of my favorites.
What makes this so awesome is the pound of freshly grated carrots. You can add grated carrots to muffins and cookies and quick breads, but nothing really does it like a good carrot cake.
Kind of like pumpkin pie, but using winter squash and without the trouble of making crust, this custard is a great dessert… and breakfast… and snack. Here’s a few simple recipes:
